Lenire Tinnitus Treatment

How Lenire Treatment Works at Home

Lenire tinnitus treatment in Apple Valley, CA uses bimodal neuromodulation, which means it stimulates two senses at once. You wear headphones that play sound while a small device on your tongue gives gentle electrical pulses. The pairing is designed to help the brain pay less attention to tinnitus. You use it at home for two 30-minute sessions a day over at least 12 weeks, with check-ins at our office to track progress and adjust settings.

Lenire Treatment FAQs

Common questions about Lenire tinnitus treatment in Apple Valley: who it's for, what the daily routine looks like, how soon results come, and what it costs.

Lenire is designed for adults with moderate to severe, ongoing tinnitus that hasn't faded on its own. It's often a fit for people who have tried masking or hearing aids and still find the ringing intrusive, though it can also be a first option. The only way to know is a full evaluation of your hearing and your tinnitus.

At that visit, we look for medical causes that should be ruled out first, measure your hearing, and ask how the sound affects your sleep, focus, and mood. If Lenire looks like a good match, we'll explain the daily commitment involved. If not, we'll suggest other tinnitus treatment options. Call or text (760) 503-1700 to book an evaluation.

Plan on two 30-minute sessions a day. Many people do one in the morning and one in the evening. You sit comfortably, put on the headphones, and rest the small mouthpiece on your tongue. Sound plays through the headphones while the mouthpiece delivers mild pulses that most people describe as a light tingle. Plenty of patients read or simply relax during a session.

The program runs for at least 12 weeks. Along the way, you'll come back for follow-up visits so we can review how you're doing and adjust the settings. You don't need to rearrange your life around it, but sticking with the daily routine matters, and consistency is one of the first things we look at during follow-ups.

It varies. Some people notice a change within the first several weeks, while others need most or all of the 12-week program. Published real-world results are encouraging, but no treatment works the same way for everyone, and Lenire is not a cure for tinnitus.

We track your progress with short questionnaires at your follow-ups, so you can see whether things are moving instead of guessing. If your improvement levels off, we'll talk about adjusting settings, continuing treatment, or pairing Lenire with hearing aids. Between appointments, we can also set you up with Oto, an at-home tinnitus management program that runs alongside Lenire. The aim is tinnitus that takes up less of your attention, so you can sleep, focus, and enjoy quiet moments again.

The cost of Lenire depends on your treatment plan, so we go over the full price at your evaluation, before you commit to anything. For self-pay care, we also provide a Good Faith Estimate under the No Surprises Act.

Coverage for Lenire varies, and many plans don't include it yet. Our billing team can check your benefits and let you know what applies, including for Veterans using VA Community Care. To spread out the cost, we offer Cherry financing, with 0% APR options for qualifying patients, and CareCredit. See our financing options page, or call or text (760) 503-1700 with questions.

Hearing Aids Tuned to Your Ears, Not a Factory

Hearing aids only help if they're set for your ears, not generic factory settings. That's why every new fitting at Optimum Audiology includes Real Ear Measurement, a quick test with a tiny microphone that confirms the sound reaching your eardrum matches your hearing loss. We check again at every annual visit, see you for follow-ups in the first month, and most purchases include a trial period so you can hear the difference at home.
